Tuberculosis is one of India's major public health problems. According to WHO estimates, India has the world's largest tuberculosis epidemic.
Tuberculosis
      A Contagious infection (एक दूसरेको लगने वाला ) caused by bacteria (Mycobacterium) that mainly        affects the lungs ( फ़ेफ़डे ) but can also affect any other organ including bone, brain and spine.

Early infection causes no symptoms as the body's immune system protects spread.
In many cases, it remains inactive - this stage is referred to as "Latent TB".
Early diagnosis and treatment are necessary to control the spread of the infection.
Latent TB can develop into an Active TB.

The TB problem in India was first Recognized in 1912. The TB picture started becoming clear with the introduction of tuberculin testing. (Monteux test) 

 India's TB incidence 
 Year 2021 is 210 per 100,000 population. 
 Compared to the baseline year of 2015 is 256 per lakh of population in India
 There has been an 18% decline which is 7 percentage points better than the global average.
 of    11%.




 Even availability of powerful anti-tuberculous drugs, India still has a long road ahead to reach the "End TB by 2025" goal. One of the major reasons is that tuberculosis control program in India till now have focused primarily on case detection and medical treatment of active tuberculosis.

NTEP is the new name of the RNTCP.

In 2020 the central government of India renamed the RNTCP the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP). In a letter to all the State Chief Secretaries of states and UTs, the commitment is emphasized of the Union government achieving the sustainable development Goals.            Ending TB by 2025, five years ahead of the global targets.

Nikshay Poshan Yojana is a new scheme by Central govt. for patients suffering from Tuberculosis (TB). Under this Nutritional Support Scheme for TB Patients, each beneficiary will get Rs. 500 per month during the entire treatment period. People can now make Nikshay Poshan Yojana Registration / Enrollment at the health centers from where they are seeking treatment.

 And have a Tuberculosis Case Then You have To Register Case on NIKSHAY Portal.            NIKSHAY SCHEME Provide Financial Assistance to Both Doctor and Patient.
