Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY)
- Ayushman Bharat National Health Protection Scheme or NPHS is a national public Health Insurance Scheme funded by the Government of India.
- free access to health insurance - for low-income earners in the country.
- Indian government first Announced the Ayushman Bharat Yojana in February 2018.
- As a universal health care plan.
- AB PM-JAY was first launched on 23 September 2018 in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
- It uses the Socio-Economic and Caste Census 2011 For eligibility& benefits.
Features of PM-JAY: -
- -- Cover of ₹5 lacks per family per year for medical treatment in empaneled hospitals, both public and private
- -- Using criteria from the Socio-Economic and Caste Census 2011 For eligibility& benefits
- -- No restriction on family size, age, or gender; all previous medical conditions are covered under the scheme
- -- Covers 3 days of pre-hospitalization and 15 days of post-hospitalization
- -- include Diagnostic care and Expenses on medicines
- -- Scheme is portable, and a beneficiary can avail medical treatment at any PM-JAY empaneled hospital & outside their state and anywhere in the country.
- -- Providing access to free COVID-19 testing.
- National Digital Health Mission OR Ayushman Bharat Digital mission
- a program run by GOI. On 27 December 2021(Nationwide)
- It prepares the backbone for digital health programs in India.
Ayushman Bharat has two inter-related components, which are -
- Establishment of Health and Wellness Centers (AB HWC)
- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY)
In February 2018,
- 1,50,000 Health and Wellness Centers (HWCs) Announce.
- AB HWC transforming existing Sub Centers and Primary Health Centers PHCs.
- These deliver Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC) bringing healthcare closer to the homes of people covering both maternal and child health services and non-communicable diseases, including free essential drugs and diagnostic services.
- Enable the integration of Yoga and AYUSH as appropriate to people's needs.

ABHA
- Ayushman Bharat Health Account Number
- will be used for the purposes of uniquely identifying persons, authenticating them and maintaining their health records (only with the informed consent of the patient)
ABHA CARD
- It is a 14-digit unique card. ABHA health card
- helps you access and share your health records in a hassle-free manner.
- It also allows you to consult with verified healthcare professionals and service providers.
Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR)
- All healthcare professionals -provide healthcare services across both modern and traditional systems of medicine.
- Enrolling in the Healthcare Professionals Registry will enable them to get connected to India’s digital health ecosystem.
- Every name visible to the public is certified and authorized to practice medicine in the country.
- The HPR ensures that only healthcare practitioners suitably trained and qualified to practice medicine with competence and ethical compliance can register with HPR. This ensures the public good.
- Verified healthcare professionals can treat patients through telemedicine and review digital health records.

- It is mandatory for all doctors and nurses working in the Government as well as the Private sector.
- Register Self on the HPR Hospital Professional Registry portal of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
Health Facility Registry (HFR)
- All Health facilities of the nation across different systems of medicine.
- It includes both public and private health facilities including hospitals, clinics, diagnostic laboratories and imaging centers, pharmacies, etc.
- Enrolling in the Health Facility Registry will enable them to get connected to India's digital health ecosystem.
National Health Mission (NHM)
- launched by the government of India in 2005.
- Merge 2 program National Rural Health Mission and National Urban Health Mission.
- Include Health System Strengthening (RMNCH+A) in Rural and Urban Areas- Reproductive-Maternal- Neonatal-Child and Adolescent Health, and Communicable and Non- Communicable Diseases.

- Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Ministry of AYUSH notified on 29.09.2014.
- The basic objective of NAM is to promote AYUSH medical systems.
- Strengthening of educational systems, facilitate the enforcement of quality control.
- Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani & Homoeopathy (ASU &H) drugs.

From 30th Jan 2019, At least 12,500 Health and Wellness Centers (HWCs) under Ayushman Bharat will be upgraded by the Ministry of AYUSH.

- 50-Bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospital 1 unit at Mayer, Hisar
- 50-Bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospital 1 unit at Bar-Wala Panchkula
- 10 Bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospital 1 unit at Gurugram.
- 10 Bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospital 1 unit at, Ratta Kalan, Narnual
